Wikipedia template

So I'm honestly curious about the Wikipedia template thing. It doesn't quite jive with the policies here (see Project:Links to Wikipedia), but it's pretty close, and would potentially even be worth discussing as a new way of setting up links to Wikipedia if you're interested.
