Hello!

Welcome to Wikivoyage. If you want to specialize your experience you may want to consider editing your preferences. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to the whole wiki community look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. -- (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 08:55, 7 July 2006 (EDT)

Chester! edit

Thanks for your edits on Chester! They are much appreciated. As you seem to know a fair bit about Chester, I was wondering if you have any photos of the city centre, the zoo, the racecourse or any of the roman bits that you would be willing to contribute to the article. If you do that would be great, because although the article is coming along well, it could really do with a few images to liven it up a bit!

There are a few things to bare in mind though when adding images to wikivoyage - take a look at the image policy for those. If you do have any images that satisfy the rules, upload them onto wikivoyage shared (so that other languages can use them!) and put them into the Chester article following the instructions here.

Give me a shout if you have any trouble or have any questions. Thanks again! (WT-en) Tsandell 05:52, 9 July 2006 (EDT)

In case you haven't already, please take a look at Project:Illegal activities policy, which outlines the current consensus for how to handle the subject of illegal activities. Abiding by that will save a bit of hassle as things go forward with these topics. Also, I'm not sure that separate articles are the best way to handle this information. I think it would be more easily found by putting it in the "Stay safe" sections of the various country articles, rather than building lists of location-specific advice in these separate articles. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 16:50, 25 July 2006 (EDT)
