Bangkok
editAwesome work with the embassies of Bangkok! --(WT-en) globe-trotter 18:14, 1 March 2010 (EST)
SF districts map
editI think I understand what folks are asking for on the starnom page. Would you mind if I take a crack at spiffing it up? I don't want to us to have an "edit conflict" with the map though! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 22:38, 24 March 2010 (EDT)
- Lest you think I forgot, I have not (just been busy), and almost have it the way I want it now. After I draw in the major parks, I'll upload it and hopefully clinch in that star! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 21:17, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
NM maps
editNice work on the NM region maps—I just noticed them! It would be really cool to map them all. That's my long term plan with Maryland as well. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 21:21, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
I added information about the Westin Gaslamp for downtown San Diego Hotels. I can see it here in Dallas, but my coworker in phoenix cant see the addition. Any thoughts? rory.peska@sheraton.com
Incorrect boundary/geographical location
editIn my edits(which I won't make anymore), I was trying to point out the incorrect boundary of the area(if there is such a thing). The problem lies in the fact that Columbus Ave. runs in a northwest-southeast direction, cutting across both neighborhoods. East of Montgomery just south of green is the Financial District, while east of Kearny + north of Green is Telegraph Hill, two completely neighborhoods.
Regards,
LB
- All I can say is...huh? The Financial District doesn't start in earnest until south of Washington Street; east of Montgomery and south of Green is mostly apartment buildings. As for Telegraph Hill, we've attached that to North Beach for the purposes of our guide, and we're certainly not the first guide to do that. Now, as for Columbus Avenue, I did clarify the boundary in the intro. (WT-en) PerryPlanet Talk 15:00, 28 July 2010 (EDT)
Consulates
editYou're very welcome, sir! Thanks for your regards. I think it's sort of interesting to see all the different countries that set up an office in a particular city; it sort of helps tell the story of that location. I'll keep plunging forward!(WT-en) Zepppep 16:21, 13 September 2010 (EDT)
- Kept plugging away at it. Put up all 32 Belgian consulates and honorary consulates in the U.S. today...that took up the better part of a day. Who would've known they had so many!(WT-en) Zepppep 14:05, 15 September 2010 (EDT)
- (WT-en) LtPowers has stated he believes listing consulates might be a potential issue when WTers go to print an article, and thus, he believes they may not be of great value. LtPowers has also stated he believes EMBASSIES should go on country article and not the city. He's stated he doesn't represent the majority's opinion but suggests perhaps bringing this up in a more central location. Where would that "central" location be? (I've also posted the question on his/her talk page.) FYI.... (WT-en) Zepppep 12:40, 17 September 2010 (EDT)
- I didn't say anything about embassies on the country article. (WT-en) LtPowers 10:36, 18 September 2010 (EDT)
Kitsap and Beyond: Seattle listing of Kitsap Tours under Tours. Please help me understand how I can comply to be listed under tours on the Seattle page. I see the other tours there; similar in my mind and not sure what I need to change. Help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Not sure if the last message went through so will restart.
It seems that in all other categories all are listed; car rentals, museums, etc. Tours are an important part of travel and the very few you have allowed to stay are far from the most unique or best. All are good tours, but hardly representative of Seattle and all that is offered for our visitors.
As for listing in Seattle; we are a Seattle tour that starts in Seattle and all our guests come from Seattle and we are an option to see the greater area surrounding Seattle.
As a long time contributor to other wiki sites I understand that rules are needed but this seems too extreme to leave only the few non representative tours on the Seattle page. Certainly not a service to the tourists and guests to the city and therefore not best for wikivoyage and also not in keeping with other cities and their tour listings.
How can I appeal this decision on behalf of myself and the other tours you have deleted?
