Hello, Poggio99! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thanks for your edits to the Chiusure article. Have a look at welcome, business owners and the don't tout guidelines. Also, did you copy text from anywhere? If so, please read Wikivoyage:Copyleft. Edit anything accordingly based on your readings of these links. Thanks.

I would say that at best, Amant may merit a single listing, but it's not open yet. Saying it will be a major draw seems premature and promotional. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:04, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Welcome back. I loved my visits to the abbey, but I think language like "The Abbey is on a hill green with incredibly beautiful hillside cypresses and a magical presence." lays it on a little thick and should be dialed back per Wikivoyage:Welcome, tourism professionals:
Overexcited or exclamatory statements put off other editors and readers. Straightforward, objective descriptions of a destination that are fair are more likely to survive future edits, and are also more likely to stimulate the interest of Wikivoyage readers. Style point

edit

I really regret that the communication here has been one-sided, but: "the abbey" is not capitalized on this site, only when its name is mentioned (Westminster Abbey, or in this case, the Abbey of Monte Oliveto). Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:28, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Again, read Wikivoyage:Capitalization. Many guidelines were hashed out and agreed upon by consensus before you came here. They are always subject to discussion and can be changed if a new consensus develops, which does happen sometimes, but they not subject to deviation in individual articles. If you really think it's necessary or important to capitalize "abbey", make an argument at Wikivoyage talk:Capitalization. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:19, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Poggio99. I am writing to you because your editing pattern over at Chiusure is a cause for concern. These are concerns which could be alleviated if you responded to the messages that Ikan Kekek has written to you. If we can open a dialogue regarding your aims for the article, and then discuss how your aims can best align with our goals and policies, you have my guarantee that we will try to accommodate you and make it so that everyone is satisfied.

On the other hand, if you continue to edit war and ignore our attempts to contact you, you will very quickly leave me with no choice but to block your account from editing. Please make the right choice, and reply to this message - we want to work with you, not against you.

If you make further edits to Chiusure without acknowledging this message, the next you'll hear from me will be when I put a temporary block on your account and prevent you from editing the article any further.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:32, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

In accordance with the above statement, I have blocked editing of Chiusure by your account for three days. Please clarify here on the talk page that you will end this pattern of continued tout-filled edits so the block can be removed. Thank you. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 18:52, 16 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
To clarify, the information should have been included in a listing in the appropriate section. Your edit adding the touting was not too bad, but it was unacceptable given the warnings above. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 18:58, 16 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
