editThe closest train station is in Ilanz, with trains from Chur. From there a postal bus[dead link] runs hourly to Vals (36 minutes).

editVals is manageable on foot. During the winter season, there is a free shuttle[dead link] bus running through the village.

editZervreilasee is a damned lake up the valley its glacial blue surface reflects the surrounding mountain scape, taking in the impressive Zervreillahorn.

- 2 Vals 3000 (25 km, 6 lifts), ☏ +41 81 935 15 50. A rather small ski resort made up of mostly t-bar lifts. Day pass Fr. 49/25 for skiing and Fr. 21 for pedestrians.
