By car

The main thoroughfare through Vestfold is the E-18, which will get you where you want to go quickly, but the view is mostly tunnels and forest. To go sightseeing, make detours from E-18, for instance the Hortensveien/Midgardsveien between Horten and Tønsberg along the coast. Or take the road from Larvik to Stavern. A good map is your best friend!

The Mølen tumuli near Larvik are several hundred burial mounds or tumuli made from boulders. The largest are around 30 m wide and 5 m tall, presumably made during the bronze age from 1500 years BC until the Viking age.
