Vihiga

Vihiga is a town in Western Kenya. It is the main town of the Maragoli sub-tribe of the Luhya people.

Get in

The nearest airport is Kisumu International Airport, which is 20 km (12 mi) away. From the airport, you can grab a taxi or hire a rental car to go to Vihiga.

Do

• 1 Mungoma Caves. The caves are believed to be the home of Mulogoli, the ancestor of the Maragoli tribe. It's a challenging cave to explore for the first time. An experienced guide leading you through the dark labyrinth is necessary. (updated Sep 2021)
