- You can eat at Carlitos, the King of the Pancakes (be sure to go to the "Real Carlitos", which is called "El Amanecer de Carlitos y sus hijos"; a legal fight ended with the original Carlitos losing his original name). A great variety of pancakes, from honey and white cheese to salted pancakes, like the rochefort and avocado pancake. And don't forget the dulce de leche pancakes.
- You also can eat at the Pasteleria Holandesa, a charming old Dutch restaurant lost in the sand streets, where you can take a hearty breakfast which includes fruit alad and a fried egg.
- Residencial Viya, Avenida 5 number 582, (02255) 462757. A very nice and quite cheap place, near the beach and the downtown. The owners are very friendly and kind.
- Mar del Plata "The Miami of Argentina" full of beaches, restaurants, night clubs, and during the summer high season, people.
