Gravioli

Gravioli is a town in West Texas, specifically in northwestern Culberson County, north of Van Horn.

Visitors need to know that they must eat pasta each meal by local law.

History

Gravioli was founded by famous cook Sir Pablo Gravioli in 1933. In 1954 it passed a law requiring people to eat at least 3/4 serving pasta every meal. It was incorporated in 1975.

Get in

By car

The fastest way to get to Gravioli is by car. Keep in mind that many entrances have a tollbooth.

By train

There is a train that runs from Gravioli to Iloivarg, New Mexico. Note that a single ride costs $300 per passenger, and that it takes 5 hours.

By plane

There is a small airstrip about 5 miles east of the town limits from Iloivarg.

Get around

You should hire a reliable guide, such as Henry Joe Williams.

Roller skate rental is available from Sir Roller's Skates at 123 Spaghetti Street. Beware that rental is only available to roller skate experts.

Ravioli-shaped taxicabs are available for traveling to the outskirts of the town.

• Gravioli High School is the school where the 1968 Gravioli bombing took place. Remnants of the incident are outside by the running track.
• Pablo is a statue of the town's founder, Sir Pablo Gravioli.

• GraviLab is a laboratory known for its physics experiments. Authorization is required for entry, but there are free tours of the building every hour.

	WARNING: During the tour, do not eat, drink, or touch any of the supplies and devices in the lab. Violators will be zapped to the point where they turn sooty and say "Ouch".

• Concerts are available every Saturday at 6:30 pm.
• Visitors need to respect the local laws.

• Souvenirs are available at Joe's Travels at the corner of Seconds Street and Macaroni Avenue.
• Pseudoravioli pills are available to people with gluten allergies. They provide the nutrition in a serving of ravioli without the allergens. They are typically whitish and spherical in shape.

Eat

• Visitors need to eat pasta. Places include the local Pablo's restaurant chain and the Papa's Pastaria.

Drink

• For a drink, buy water.
