  • Not sure. The functionality is not duplicate at all; Template:Geo displays nothing on the screen and only creates RDF code. Template:Coordinates displays a box within the article that shows the coords and a link to Google Earth. Now, granted, we have no provision in our guidelines for such a feature, but someone at some point thought it might be a good idea. I think I might prefer we discuss whether or not we should make coordinate display more prominent; if we do, this template might be useful.   • Redirect - I don't think anybody (maybe except a few experts) have any use directly viewing the coordinates in an article. It will only clutter the guide. Hackberry edit

A ghost town, population 544. The only thing to see is a handful of abandoned buildings. No place to stay. It hasn't appeared on official Texas highway maps since 1992, and even Google Maps can't find it properly.

  • Any further guidance on which of the two towns to redirect to? Is that correct though? The first suggested redirect target, The Colony, is currently listed as being in Prairies and Lakes, not Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Well, look for yourself. It is not true that Google Maps cannot find it properly, it is here [2] with Frisco to the East and The Colony to the South. And seems to be in the Megaplex when looking there. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 09:07, 2 July 2010 (EDT)

Redirect The Hackberry that Google Earth directed me to is adjacent to Frisco. Hackberry the ghost town is located in Lavaca County, which is between Houston & San Antonio. Since the former seems to just be a few housing developments in a suburb, I'd say the ghost town is more interesting and this should be a redirect to the sub-region Post Oak Savannah.
