Darlington Point is situated on two highways:
- Sturt Highway (A20), 61 km west of Narrandera, and 117 km east of Hay
- Kidman Way (B87), 36 km south of Griffith, and 31 km north of Coleambally
Get around edit
Darlington Point is small enough to walk around on foot. For attractions located out of town, such as Altina, a vehicle will be required.

- Murrumbidgee Valley Regional Park. A small regional park managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services, protecting the northern banks of the Murrumbidgee River. There aren't many tourist facilities, but they do provide some laidback picnic spots by the river.

Telstra and Optus work reliably throughout the town. Vodafone service comes from a tower a few kilometers south-west on the highway and can get patchy indoors.

There are three Telstra payphones in Darlington Point; one near the police station, one near the caravan park and one at the truck stop at Waddi.
