Bahasa Indonesia: Candi Plaosan adalah candi yang terletak di Dukuh Plaosan, Desa Bugisan, Kecamatan Prambanan, Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa Tengah.
Candi ini merupakan sebuah komplek bangunan kuno yang terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu kompleks Candi Plaosan Lor (lor dalam bahasa jawa berarti utara) dan kompleks Candi Plaosan Kidul (kidul dalam bahasa jawa berarti selatan). Kedua Candi memiliki teras segi empat yang dikelilingi dinding tempat semedi berbentuk gardu di bagian barat serta stupa di sisi lainnya. karena kesamaan hal tersebut, Candi Plaosan kerap disebut sebagai candi kembar. Adanya kemuncak stupa, arca buddha serta candi-candi perwara (pendamping/kecil) yang berbentuk stupa menandakan bahwa candi-candi tersebut adalah candi Buddha yang diperkirakan dibangun pada abad ke-9 oleh Raja Rakai Pikatan dan Sri Kahulunan pada zaman kerajaan Medang atau juga dikenal dengan nama Kerajaan Mataram Kuno. |
