editBerthoud is closest to the Fort Collins Loveland Airport[dead link] (FNL IATA), which is north of the city, between Loveland and Fort Collins. Allegiant Air offers daily flights from here and Las Vegas. Getting from the airport to Berthoud generally requires a vehicle as taxis are uncommon in this part of Colorado.
Further away, but offering a wider range of national and international flights is Denver International Airport (DEN IATA). From Denver, the drive takes about an hour north on I-25. Groome Transport offers rides to Loveland for $32 per adult ($10 per child). However, the traveler is responsible for the trip from Loveland to Berthoud.
