Wollombi is a village located at the edge of the Hunter Valley wine country and located at the intersection of Tourist Drive 33, in New South Wales, Australia. While it's in the Central Coast, Wikivoyage covers it in the Hunter region for practical purposes.

Wollombi is 29 km south-west of Cessnock on Wollombi Road and around 40km north of Calga. A very pleasant route, through picturesque rural countryside. Additionally, there's no other forms of transport to Wollombi. Only car.

The village centre is very small and easy to walk around.

St John's Anglican Church
  • Heritage buildings, including the school building (c1881) and the general store.
  • Former Courthouse. The former courthouse was built in 1866 and is now a small historical museum. $2.

  • Convict Trail. The Great North Road convict trail passes through here.
  • Picnic in Anzac Park.
  • Margan Winery. Hosting the Beltree restaurant which is definitely worth a lazy Saturday or Sunday meal. Coupled with the wine produced at the Vineyard, this is a must try on the Hunter circuit
