Category talk:Pages using RelatedSites

What is this category actually for? it appears on the Hebrew Wikivoyage as well. ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 19:16, 4 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

The page has an entry of the format [[wikipedia:pagename]], which should no longer be used as it will be switched off soon. Cross reference interwiki pages should be though wikidata entries or in listing parameter. --Traveler100 (talk) 22:18, 4 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
I still don't understand. What does "RelatedSites" mean? How does it determine exactly which pages are included? how does one fix a page so that it is not included in this category (I assume all the pages in this category need to be fixed so that they aren't in this category). ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 10:07, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Originally the link to Wikipedia on the side bar was created using a double square bracket link starting with the word Wikipedia then a colon then the Wikipedia (Related Site) page name. This is no longer the method. You need to go to Wikidata and add the Wikivoyage page to the to correct entry. Any maninspace page using the old convention should have this removed. Pages are added this category on compilation of the page on save. --Traveler100 (talk) 10:18, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
See Template talk:RelatedWikipedia. --Traveler100 (talk) 10:22, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Oh right. I remember now. Thanks for the reminder (what would we do without Wikidata?) ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 11:10, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Pages using RelatedSites" page.
