From west to east:

  • 1 Guarapuava — a regional hub with a few interesting sights
  • 2 Prudentópolis — the center of Brazil's Ukrainian community
  • 3 Irati — near the Irati National Forest, which has a high concentration of native Araucaria trees
  • 4 Ponta Grossa — home to Vila Velha State Park and the National Dark Draft Beer Party (Münchenfest)

  • 1 Salto San Francisco — the largest waterfall in southern Brazil and one of the largest in the country. The waterfall is the Salto São Francisco da Esperança State Park.
  • 2 Vila Velha State Park   — features many massive sandstone formations which resemble castles, towers, animals, and other objects.

The Entre Rios neighborhood of Guarapuava has interesting architecture inherited from German immigrants from Swabia.

The large Ukrainian community in Prudentópolis holds celebrations of its culture.
