Central South Wirral is a rural area in Cheshire, with a few main roads going through. It includes the villages and hamlets of Two Mills, Woodbank, Burton, Puddington, Shotwick, Dunkirk, Capenhurst and Ledsham.

As the M56 ends at Dunkirk, drivers can continue onto the A494 without stopping. Drivers can then take the first turnoff for the A540. Head north to Two Mills junction, where the A550 Welsh Road crosses the A540, which is central to the area.

Holy Trinity Church, Capenhurst
  • 1 Holy Trinity Church, Capenhurst, Capenhurst. The church is a designated Grade II listed building. The church was built between 1856 and 1859 to a design by James Harrison. In 1889–90 the tower was built and details were added to the interior by John Douglas.    
  • 2 Burton Manor. It is a former manor house that is a designated Grade II listed building. At one time an adult education college, it is now closed, but the walled garden is open to the public. The house was built around 1805 for Richard Congreve and remodelled in 1904 by Sir Charles Nicholson for Henry Neville Gladstone, son of William Ewart Gladstone. An orangery was added in 1910 to a design by Arthur Beresford Pite.
