Understand

edit

Dalaba is a town in Moyenne Guinea region. It is the highest (~1300m altitude) town in Guinea. It is approximately 200 km by air from the capital Conakry and about 280 km by road.

South African singer Miriam Makeba ("Pata Pata") lived here while in exile in Guinea, which was from 1969 to 1985.

Dalaba makes a nice stop on a long way from Guinea-Bissau or Senegal.
