Forlì is a city of 118,000 people (2017) in Emilia-Romagna. The city is on the Via Emilia, on the bank of the Montone river, and is an important agricultural centre. The city hosts some of Italy's culturally and artistically significant landmarks; it is also notable as the birthplace of painters Melozzo da Forlì and Marco Palmezzano.

editForlì is a prosperous agricultural and industrial centre, with manufacture primarily focused on silk, rayon, clothing, machinery, metals, and household appliances. In the city also has seat the Ferretti Group, one of the most famous producers of yachts. The city was featured in the video game Assassin's Creed II.
Climate
editForlì is characterized by hot and sunny summers, with temperatures that can exceed 30 °C (86 °F) and even reach 40 °C (104 °F) during the hottest weeks of the year.
Winters are cool and moist, with frequent fog. Occasionally the warm Sirocco wind blows from the south, bringing warmer temperatures for brief periods.

edit- Piazza Saffi. A beautiful square named after the 19th-century politician Aurelio Saffi, whose statue is in the middle.
- 1 Abbazia di San Mercuriale (Abbey of San Mercuriale), Piazza Saffi. Daily 07:30-19:00. A 12th-century building in Lombard-Romanesque style. Its campanile (bell tower) used to be one of the tallest in Italy (75 m). Its construction began in the 12th century. It is the main religious building in the city.
- 2 Palazzo Municipio (Town Hall).
- 3 Chiesa del Carmine. 12th-century church with a Baroque interior.
- 4 Basilica Santuario di San Pellegrino Laziosi. Its appearance belongs to the period between 7th and 18th centuries. The external portal is that remains from the older church of Santa Maria dei Servi (13th century).
- 5 Cattedrale di Santa Croce (Duomo). Built as a primitive Gothic Romanesque church, it was redesigned by Giulio Zambianchi in 1841.
- 6 Musei di San Domenico, Piazza Guido da Montefeltro, 12, ☏ +39 0543 712 659. Tu-F 09:30-19:00, Sa Su 09:30-20:00. The former Dominican monastery, the complex consists of five buildings: Palazzo Pasquali, the church of San Giacomo Apostolo , Dominican Convent, Convent of the Augustinians and Sala Santa Caterina. It is hosting Pinacoteca Civica. It is also a venue for temporary exhibitions. €3 for Pinacoteca Civica.
- 7 Oratorio di San Sebastiano. This former oratory was built between 1494 and 1502 by Pace Bombace. It is quite remarkable that the appearance of the dome from outside is reminiscent of the monolith top of the Mausoleum of Theodoric, in Ravenna.
- 8 Palazzo Gaddi. A medieval palace rebuilt in the 18th century. It hosts Museo del Risorgimento (museum of Italian unification) and Museo Romagnolo del Teatro (Romagna Theater Museum of Musical Instruments).
