Gresik is a regency in East Java. It's capital is Gresik City.

edit- Sanggring Kolak Ayam, The annual tradition in the month of Ramadan on the 23rd night is to cook a large amount of kolak ayam (Gresik chicken soup) for iftar in Gumeno village, Manyar district of Gresik. This tradition has been going on for more than 400 years.
