Understand

edit

Jagadhri is adjacent to the newer city of Yamunanagar. As such, they are twin cities and in modern times have merged into a single metropolitan area.

The city was traditionally known for its brassware industry, giving it the moniker "Brass City". It has since shifted to becoming a centre of the timber trade in Haryana, being home to a number of paper mills.

Get in

edit

The closest airport is in Chandigarh though the closest major airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Jagadhri is well connected both by train and road with Delhi and Chandigarh. There are two railway stations in the urban area, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri station and Jagadhri Workshop station, both of which are on the MoradabadAmbala line.
