Kävlinge has its own railway station on the line (Copenhangen- ) Malmö - Helsingborg - Ångelholm. Kävlinge is served by the "Pågatåg" trains of the local public transport authority (Skånetrafiken) with at least two departures an hour each way during the day. At peak times there are four departures an hour including the "Öresundståg" train service which offers a direct connection to Copenhagen. Tickets can be purchased on the platform from the ticket machine but note that only bank credit/debit cards or the Skånetrafiken "Jojo" card are accepted as payment methods. Cash is not accepted and you cannot pay on the train. If travelling to Kävlinge from a larger area tickets can be bought from a Skånetrafiken office.
Kävlinge is also served by an infrequent bus service from Lund (Bus number 123). From Kävlinge bus 122 goes to Löddeköpinge.
Kävlinge is by the national roads 108 and 104.
