edit- 1 Katsuura Seafood Market (勝浦地方卸売市場). After Tokyo, this is the largest tuna market in Japan. Tuna auctions start from 07:00, although they use a silent bid system and are thus quite subdued. View from 2nd floor observation platform is free, or pay ¥1000 for auction floor access including a tuna sample. The main market is wholesale only but there are plenty of retailers and tuna restaurants around.
