  • Beaches — The coast of Piaçabuçu has two long beaches: Pontal do Peba beach and Peba beach, which stretch from the village of Pontal do Peba to Pontal da Barra. They are characterized by their fine, dark sand and the dunes parallel to the beach that run along the entire length of the coast, with the ones at the mouth of the São Francisco River standing out. These beaches are frequented by admirers of the long boardwalks, thanks to their more than 25 km of continuous sand, the longest in the state of Alagoas and one of the largest in Brazil. Their entire environment is an important conservation area for sea turtles and migratory birds.
    • Pontal do Peba Beach: It is a large beach to the south of the village. With fine sand and calm waters, it's very popular with lovers of the long walks along the Atlantic Ocean. It stands out for its good infrastructure with inns, bars and restaurants, and throughout the year numerous activities take place in the area, among which are the fishing competition in November and the Pilombeta festival in September
  • Mouth of the São Francisco River — The river of national integration, the São Francisco, discovered in 1502, has this title because it is the route connecting the Southeast and the Central-West with the Northeast. From its source in the Serra da Canastra, in Minas Gerais, to its mouth in the city of Piaçabuçu, on the border of Sergipe and Alagoas, it runs 2,700 km. Along this route, which flows through five states, the river is divided into four stretches: the Upper São Francisco, which runs from its headwaters to Pirapora, in Minas Gerais; the Middle, from Pirapora, where the navigable stretch begins, to Remanso, in Bahia; the Submédio, from Remanso to Paulo Afonso, also in Bahia; and the Lower, from Paulo Afonso to the mouth, considered the 2nd largest in Latin America, where it meets the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Buggy ride to the mouth of the Rio São Francisco, +55 82 9975-1975. Covering 25 km of deserted beach with beautiful scenery. It is also possible to take a parachute flight, with cables of 70 m, 100 m and 170 m, in addition to the ecological route to the Golden Dunes of Piaçabuçu. This and other tours are services offered by Farol da Foz Ecoturismo, an ecotourism and adventure tourism operator with safety in the region.
