Podpoľanie is a tourism region in Central Slovakia. The region name comes from the "Poľana" mountain right north of it.

  • 1 Bátov boulder. 14m high, 8m wide stone fallen into to the valley - a remnant of volcanic activity.
  • 2 Bystré waterfall.  
  • 3 Jánošík boulder. 30m high boulder with eroded cave-like formation where, according to legends, local highwayman Jánošík hid.

  • 1 Hiking Poľana. This is a long-inactive stratovolcano, reaching altitude 1,458 m (4,783 ft). Remnants of the volcanic activities can be found in a few stone cliffs.
