Get in

edit

Rimini Federico Fellini Airport (RMI IATA) is a short bus ride from Rimini city centre. It has flights from within Italy, and seasonally from Moscow, Munich and London Stansted.

You could also fly into Milan or Bologna. Forlì airport has no commercial flights but these may resume in 2021.

Fast trains run hourly from Milan via Bologna to Rimini and continue down the coast to Ancona, Bari and Lecce. Regional trains also ply between Ravenna, Rimini and Riccione.

By road from the north follow A14 Autostrada Adriatica from Bologna past Faenza, Forlì and Cesena.

Get around

edit

Mi Muovo[dead link] is an integrated public transport pass for the region. Short-stay visitors might use "Mi Muovo Multibus", a 12-trip bus ticket, see Emilia Romagna#Get around.

  • The Fellini museum in Rimini showcases the great film director.
  • Pennabilli has the offbeat Garden of Forgotten Fruits and the Petrified Garden.
  • Beach: the Adriatic Riviera, miles and miles of sand and regulation-spaced parasols, stretches through Rimini to Riccione.

Drink

edit

This province is at the edge of the Romagna wine-growing area. You'll also find Emilia and Bologna wines widely available.

Stay safe

edit
  • Usual advice about traffic, care of valuables, and staying clear of rowdy drunks along the beach strip.
  • The mountains need suitable clothing and footwear but are of no great height.

Go next

edit
  • Ravenna (province) north has a lovely old principal city, but the coast is mostly industrial.
  • San Marino is a microstate surrounded by Italy. A day-trip will be plenty.

If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here.
