editSome highlights of the Classic Heartland of Georgia include the Callaway Gardens and Little White House Historic Site that was Franklin Delano Roosevelt's retreat near Warm Springs, the Museum of Aviation near Warner Robins, the Old Governor's Mansion in Milledgeville, the National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus, and the Jimmy Carter and Andersonville National Historic Sites, the latter being a testament to some of the darkest privations this country has endured.
