Unnamed section
editThere are a lot of churches in Alexandria and a number are historic (George Washington prayed here). Should there be a =Pray= section listing churches? —The preceding comment was added by 128.29.43.2 (talk • contribs)
- Historic churches are presumably worthwhile sights to see as well as worthwhile places to pray, so the usual thing to do would be to list them under "See." Information about services is also welcome, if the schedule isn't clear from the churches' websites, which should be included in the listing templates.
- There is another approach that's sometimes used, which is to list places of worship, especially those that are not inherently interesting as sights, in an optional "Cope" section toward the end of the article (you can see where to put that by looking at Wikivoyage:Country article template), with the religion or denomination of the house of worship indicated prominently, but it sounds like "See" listings would really be the best option, in this case. Should "Huntington (Virginia)" be redirected here?
editHuntington (Virginia) looks to me like a neighborhood of Alexandria (albeit one that's just outside the city limits), and not a separate city. And it's a skeleton-article, with almost no actual content. Should we redirect Huntington to Alexandria? Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 20:43, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- Shouldn't it redirect to South Alexandria instead? 7yt86tiiyg (talk) 21:46, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
