The photo looks nice, but is it Banaue? Where exactly is Cambolo?(WT-en) Shep 14:46, 5 April 2009 (EDT)

Listings of individual guides

edit

First, are we making Banaue an exception to the usual prohibition of tour agency listings, based on added value? Secondly, do we think it's OK to list individuals? We've been having a related discussion in Talk:La Paz about individual Spanish teachers. (WT-en) Ikan Kekek 06:15, 28 January 2012 (EST)

The two tour guides, one of them a driver/guide, listed in the Do section seem to be in conflict with the general policies on listing tour guides. They do not seem to be doing anything that requires a permit or restricted areas access and do not appear to be taking anyone to a place that they could not go to themselves. I do not though that one of them is described as providing "regular treks in the Northern Luzon, but also some extreme activities". this is not really defined very clearly though. He is described as "accredited" but it is not explained by who he is 'accredited' or what it is that he is accredited to do. I think I would be inclined to delete them both, or move them to the Talk page and leave them there for discussion to determine if they are offering specializsed trekking services or some kind or are really just fairly ordinary driver/guides. -- (WT-en) felix 13:31, 28 January 2012 (EST)
I agree: The entries are not specific enough to demonstrate notable added value. I'll delete the listings and refer them to this discussion. Thanks for your input, Felix. (WT-en) Ikan Kekek 18:11, 28 January 2012 (EST)
