Talk:Copper Canyon

I have a few suggestions. Firstly, there should not be humans listed under the things to "see" tab on this page. People are not things to see. Secondly, the word "Indian" incorrectly describes the Tarahumara people. Indians are people from India. The Rarámuri or Tarahumara are a group of Indigenous people of the Americas either living in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, or are from there. Can someone please edit that part and correct the wording, thank you!

My father is an Indigenous Tarahumara (Rarámuri) man from Chihuahua. I promise you, there's nothing out of the ordinary to see. They are extremely traditional, notoriously private and very shy people! Don't go to Copper Canyon to people watch, please. Instead of going there to play where's waldo with the locals, go support local artisans. There are incredibly talented women who make and sell hand-made items at the lake for a living. Do something good. That is all.

The way you edit the page is the same way you probably edited this page: by clicking "edit." So go ahead and make the edits. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:16, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Status of trains?

edit

What is the current situation with regards to trains through the Copper Canyon?

Is Chepe Express now the ONLY choice for travelers? (i.e., have to begin/end travel in Creel?) Can travelers still use the Chepe Regional? (I see current fares/schedules, so the train is evidently not discontinued....what's the situation with it?) Mrkstvns (talk) 18:27, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Return to "Copper Canyon" page.
