Talk:Gimhae International Airport

I have created this page for Busan Airport. It is admittedly a small airport by international standards, however it is a significant airport in Korea (3rd largest by passenger numbers: 9 million last year) and it takes up a lot of space on the main Busan page --Andrewssi2 (talk) 13:21, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm kind of thinking this may still be below the threshold, regardless of its regional importance, just for simple lack of things to say about it. After the Flight and Ground transportation sections, neither of which is terribly long, there is very little that can be said in any other section. I'm not sure "third largest in a small country" is enough to automatically qualify it. I don't think we have fully determined where to draw the line, but I'm afraid having a majority of permanent essentially one-liner sections may cross it. What do others think? I agree that it is close to the line, however there is a lot of information related to it that I would prefer to keep out of the main Busan article. If Busan gets larger then it may have to split into districts anyhow, and I would like to avoid that. Besides, it does serve the south of South Korea and has a lot of international destinations. I will add more detail soon. --Andrewssi2 (talk) 15:48, 26 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
This airport has lower passenger numbers than Jeju Airport I find it a bit odd that this one has an article and the other doesn't. I also think that domestic travel other than to Jeju will inevitably decline due to the KTX. Hobbitschuster (talk) 00:17, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've created a distinct banner for this airport, however it doesn't look that nice still. Happy for anyone to propose different CC image. Andrewssi2 (talk) 08:41, 29 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Should this article be merged into the city the airport serves? Hobbitschuster (talk) 20:09, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
