Largest branch of Zenneca

I heard Huddersfield boasts the largest branch of Zenneca (by site area). This is a dirty great chemical works specialising the development manufacture of paint and textile dyes, on the South East side of town near the delightful new waste disposal incineration facility.

I guess you haven't been to Huddersfield, as we locals would not consider it to be a dump. The site you refer to is a few miles out to the North East of the town, thus with the prevailing south westerlies and strict emission controls it does not casue any issues for this fine northern town (see Mann's Model for urban planning). - annon 17:34, 3 July 2006

I grew up near Huddersfield. I don't want to describe it as a dump. In fact it isn't a dump. Not really. Just some parts. I dont think it would be wikipropaganda to ommit mention these things. Any other tourist guide would gloss over the bad bits. I was just mentioning it on this talk page because I do find it kind of difficult (and comical) to think of Huddersfield as a tourist destination. You can see that ugly-ass incinerator chimeney in the photo Image:UK-Huddersfield.jpg. It's huge! Can't beleive they allowed it to be built.

But you're right. Huddersfield does have its charms

• Mention the victorian town hall building (music concerts. nice ceiling)
• Mention the contemporary music festival (if it's still on annually?)
• more photos
  • textile mills
  • the train station facade
  • the open market

Bus Service to Manchester

I am interested to find out, if anybody would be interested in me putting 2 newish buses with wi fi/ internet velour/leather seats and tinted glass. to go in the morning from Huddersfield/ Holmfirth via Ashton to Manchester limited stop?

 A couple of factors brought me to this
1. Rising road tax and Insurance, added costs to buying a decent car to make the return journey 5 times a week, and
2. Increasing amount of traffic, using the A635 which a very open road, that when you are weary will allow a dozing driver to go off road

Then of course, to return at tea time, those 2 buses.

The advantages of using these buses, would allow your work to continue on you journey home. Continue your Facebook conversation with your friends etc, all with mobile internet on my bus!
