Overregionified?

edit

This region has been split into 4 sub-regions, but in total they contain only 10 cities, far fewer than would usually require such fine-grained subdivision. Is there any special reason why this shouldn't be undone, reverting the 10 cities to be directly under this one and merging/redirecting the intermediary regions? Split of cities and regions

edit

Hunter Valley has a good number of towns, the other nothing. Should Lake Macquarie be a region. Could someone who know the area, and wikivoyage conventions, make a proposal on how to split this region up in a sensible way? --Traveler100 (talk) 05:48, 8 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

User:Texugo, Traveler100 I just noticed this.
Although Hunter Valley does indeed have enough content for its own article, it leaves the rest of Hunter in a complete mess. Additionally it means that the Hunter Valley is another level deep which makes it harder to find.
As someone who lives in Sydney, I would ask to merge Hunter Valley into Hunter --Andrewssi2 (talk) 01:53, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
I made a start with the merging. Will complete later today. --Andrewssi2 (talk) 22:44, 30 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
I fixed up the article so it now rationalized. I also fixed the separate suburb articles for Lake Macquarie which are not needed. --Andrewssi2 (talk) 03:26, 1 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
