New Page: Kerhonkson
editI just created new page for Kerhonkson, New York. It's been a while since I made a new page. Please look it over to see what's missing. (Auxiliary wikilinks) Gamweb (talk) 03:49, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- Understand section is missing (can include history and/or climate info). Stay safe section is not part of the Small city article template, but if there's anything to note regarding safety issues, a stay safe can be included. I've gone ahead and added coordinates (geo template) and Open Directory links (Dmoz). The airports in the listing template look a bit odd. See Albany (New York)#By plane for what a typical airport listing looks like. There's an IATA template (below editing box, far right of "Info templates") for the airport's 3-letter IATA code, which I've added (although it looks much better when it comes immediately after the airport name). The website and phone can fit in before the ")" and the address is probably not very useful. A better way to put the airport listing (just my idea, not based on any MoS policies):
- Otherwise, very nice! AHeneen (talk) 05:21, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks; please make whatever changes are needed (I'm rusty now). I have some personal knowledge of Kerhonkson and another village nearby named Ellenville. (coming next) Gamweb (talk) 05:44, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- When it comes to airport listings, I tend to prefer putting full listings only in the main city article, while suburbs and nearby rural areas reference that in prose. For example: "The next-closest major airport is Albany International (ALB IATA), in Albany; it's a 90-minute drive but has over 100 commercial flights daily." Something like that. Any details included should be those relevant specifically to travelers getting to and from Kerhonkson; other details like address, phone number, and available services should be kept in the Albany article.
