Formatting and language conventions

For articles about Kiribati, please use the 24-hour clock to show times, e.g. 09:00-12:00 and 18:00-00:00.

Please show prices in this format: $100, and not AUD 100, A$100, or 100 dollars. Although Kiribati dollars are also used, they are used more by locals, rather than travellers, who prefer the Australian dollar.

Please use British spelling.

Tarawa a city? edit

I know that Tarawa is the main island. Does it also consitute a city? I wonder if the concept of city really even makes sense in a country like Kiribati? --(WT-en) Dawnview 01:36, 22 September 2006 (EDT)

Regions? edit

Should each island group be a region, rather than listing each island on the main page? That takes up a lot of space in a way that seems more Wikipedia-ish. -- (WT-en) Jonboy 11:08, 25 December 2006 (EST)

Currency, time and spelling conventions edit

Below is a proposed infobox to let readers know which formatting conventions to use in Wikivoyage articles. Do you agree with these proposals? If you have direct knowledge of what is most commonly used in the country, please let us know. Ground Zero (talk) 19:00, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
