A lot of construction happening lately edit

If you read Spanish this article might be of interest with regards to the future "face" of Managua, especially its waterfront. In my not so humble opinion, they are doing a couple of things right, but are also committing some grave errors that other cities are right now turning back. Most notably, there has been a new "paso a desnivel" (i.e. a grade-free urban highway) which is exactly the kind of eyesore that is currently being ripped out in cities all around the globe, including American ones... /rant. That being said, we should be on the lookout if and when new things of relevance to our coverage come online and update the article accordingly. Venice of Central America edit

The term "Venice of Central America" is not common. There are no canals in Managua. It refers to flooded streets during heavy rainstorms. IMHO, it has no place in this article. Eni2dad (talk) 00:37, 11 November 2018 (UTC) Enidad2Reply

There are ditches that are "supposed to" carry water during the rainy season, but are usually clogged with all types of trash during the dry season leading to the flooding you allude to. But I agree that in my time in Nicaragua I have not exactly heard Managua called "Venice of Central America", nor have I heard any other place called that...
