Talk:Monrovia
Monrovia
edit- Started new article for Monrovia (Liberia) and so moved original Monrovia page to Monrovia (Los_Angeles_County) - both articles are listed on Monrovia (disambiguation) (WT-en) WindHorse 21 July 06
- Redirect to Monrovia (disambiguation)?
- If neither of the city articles is called "Monrovia" (which is the usual way to handle something like this) then Monrovia should be the disambiguation page for them. Monrovia (disambiguation) is not needed, but is harmless if it's redirected to Monrovia. This isn't really a keep/delete question, but the best name. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 11:39, 21 July 2006 (EDT)
- There are two issues - Monrovia (Los Angeles County) should be Monrovia (California) since US cities use the state as the disambiguator. Monrovia (Liberia) should be Monrovia since it's a country's capital and as a resident of LA I've not heard of the other city, so I think it meets the "most famous" rule. If no one objects I'll fix this up and then remove the VFD. -- (WT-en) Ryan 12:46, 21 July 2006 (EDT)
Warning box
editDoesn't anyone else think that the warning on this page, essentially saying that Liberia is completely unsuitable to tourists is a bit over the top? This is a travelwiki, and dismissing an entire nation as unsuitable is ridiculous. —The preceding comment was added by 81.104.46.239 (talk • contribs)
- Warning boxes tend to be applied fairly indiscriminately. If there are specific government travel warnings for Liberia I'd suggest replacing the current box with Template:TravelAlert. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 02:13, 24 July 2011 (EDT)
