Merge with Central MA?
editI don't think Princeton needs its own article. The attractions are Wachusett mountain (which is partially in another town) and a couple of restaurants. I think all Central MA listings should go in that article until there are enough to warrant breaking them out into a separate region or city. Worcester and Sturbridge are exceptions to this since they already have large articles and are destinations in their own right.Godsendlemiwinks (talk) 23:24, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Godsendlemiwinks: It looks like North County (Massachusetts) would be a better merge target than Central Massachusetts, but is that the right action, or is there town/village article that might make a better target? Or should this remain a standalone article? -- Ryan • (talk) • 22:42, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- North County is probably fine for now until I have a firm proposal for a Central Mass re-org. Princeton doesn't border a larger town that needs a full article so there isn't anywhere else to put it for the moment.Godsendlemiwinks (talk) 00:04, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- Would it make sense to leave this as-is until there is a plan for handling these small town articles? We have lots of articles throughout the site for very small towns, and while many of them should probably be merged into a broader article that makes more sense we usually just leave them alone until a solution is found for dealing with them (see Rural Montgomery County for one example of such a solution). My concern is mainly in trying to figure out how to deal with an article tagged for merging, and in this case it doesn't seem clear that performing a merge is currently the optimal solution. -- Ryan • (talk) • 00:15, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's fine. I hadn't realized you could make userspace pages when I proposed this, otherwise I probably just would have left everything the way it was.Godsendlemiwinks (talk) 00:33, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've removed the merge tag for now. -- Ryan • (talk) • 00:45, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
