Too many images

edit

I vote for deletion of a few images o this page. Think it's too many. -- (WT-en) Fridday 16:49, 17 July 2006 (EDT)

I'm reminded of the joke about the fat man who insisted that he wasn't over-weight, he was "under-tall". I think the problem with this article isn't the number of photos, but the fact that there isn't a lot of text to go along with them. If there were, it wouldn't look like "too many" images. (We have quite a few articles with 4-5 images that are just fine that way.) My suggested solution to that imbalance would be to add to the the text, rather than removing images. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 17:59, 17 July 2006 (EDT)
I don't think it meets the criterias of the image policy where it talks about the minimal use of images. My opinion is that the Valle de la Luna-image could stay and the others should go. I think this page is on the slippery slope to becoming a vacation photo gallery, as mentioned in the goals. -- (WT-en) Fridday 16:25, 21 July 2006 (EDT)

Whipping this article into shape for OtBP

edit

I see this article is classed as a Guide, but among other things, it needs lots more photos. It's shocking to read that it once may have had too many! I guess many of those photos had iffy copyright status or worse and didn't make the transition from WT to Commons during the fork.

What else do you see as needing improvement? This looks like a beautiful destination. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:48, 16 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Answering my own question somewhat: I think the bulleted information in "See" may be structured in a good way to help travellers, but sections like "Eat" and "Drink" really require standard templated listings. The article seems pretty well written but may still need some copy editing and definitely needs to be checked for up-to-dateness. I added several thumbnails in "See." Please give your feedback below, and advice to editors who may be able to help improve this article, so we can nominate it for a feature. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:11, 16 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
