Rumours of tax receipts being requested on exiting Serbia edit

Someone told me last week they were asked for their accommodation tax receipt when leaving serbia recently, apparently this is an archaic requirement to ensure accommodation providers are paying their taxes or something and few hostels or hotels seem to bother. I would be keen to know if this was an isolated event or if more of these checks are likely to be seen in the future.

languages during the communist era edit

In the part of the text that relates to the language ("Talk") the following information is stated: "If you speak Russian, it can prove to be occasionally helpful for you, as the two languages have some similarities, and Russian was taught as a second language during the communist era."

I think that this information is very wrong and that there is nowhere official information that any "second language" has ever officially been used in Serbia or in former Yugoslavia. I'm not sure how much one could manage in Serbia with the knowledge of the Russian language. Although they look similar, they are actually very different, so this kind of information might be bad enough for someone.--BuhaM (talk) 18:07, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
