Duplicate headings edit

Every super section has duplicate headings of the sub-section, therefore, there it makes no sense to claim something is a duplicate listing. There is nothing necessarily wrong with a complete list. If someone wishes to make highlights as a paragraph and improve the article that's fine, but deleting lists without putting something better in place of them is not right. They can serve as a starting point. Also, it makes no sense to call counties 'regions'. 12.110.178.25 14:23, 27 December 2008 (EST)

Propose renaming this article "Metro Detroit" edit

Propose that this section be called "Metro Detroit" since it is more widely known that way instead of Southeast Michigan. For Illinois, this section is called "Chicagoland." 12.110.178.25 14:28, 27 December 2008 (EST)

I find that unneccessary, but what we could do is have an article for Metro Detroit, like what Chicagoland is. Realize-Chicagoland article really is just to list the cities in Metro Chicago. Because the Chicago article(s) only go on the stricktest Chicago borders. (WT-en) edmontonenthusiast [ee] .T.A.L.K. 14:30, 27 December 2008 (EST).
I prefer to have the Detroit article be the for Detroit area, meaning tri-county is fair game, and have the districts be Downtown, Midtown-New Center, Metro East, Metro Northwest, Metro Southwest, and Hamtramck/Highland Park as an oddity, that would solve the need for a Metro Detroit article, but I would go along with a Metro Detroit article if need be.(WT-en) Thomas Paine1776 15:41, 27 December 2008 (EST)

I only have one problem renaming this article to Metro Detroit: Southeast Michigan includes places such as Flint, St. Clair, and Ann Arbor; Metro Detroit only includes Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. So, I think creating a Metro Detroit article is a good idea. --(WT-en) Local hero 17:56, 27 December 2008 (EST)

It would be best to create a Metro Detroit article as a subregion of this page. That way we wouldn't exclude from our hierarchy the counties listed here that do not fall into the Metro area. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 01:24, 28 December 2008 (EST)
I agree. Metro Detroit is a subregion SE Michigan. The only people I've ever heard refer to SE Michigan as "Metro Detroit" are from in the tri-county area. Let's not confuse people into thinking that Washtenaw, Livingstion, Genesee, Bay, and the other SE Michigan counties are part of Metro Detroit. They're not.
