I propose moving this page to Syrmia. That is the obviously correct English name. Twsabin (talk) 18:24, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Ikan Kekek: Hello! Thanks for correcting my typo in the article, I try not to make this specific mistake, but it creeps up occasionally. Twsabin (talk) 18:28, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've never heard of this region. How often is it called anything in English? Never mind on typos; we all make them, and I'm glad to help. :-) Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:13, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Ikan Kekek: There's a chance a native English speaker might recognize this name from reading about the region, because it is this name that would be used, and not the Serbo-Croatian name, so when it is called something in English, it is called Syrmia. Syrmia is sort of an internationalism due to the name's connection to the ancient Roman regional center of Sirmium (German: Syrmien; French: Syrmie ...). Enwiki, Wikidata, and Commons all have it at Syrmia. The official English name of the Croatian county that covers the Croatian part of Syrmia has "Syrmia" in it's name. This is also commonly used on websites that relate to travel, such as booking.com: http s://www.booking.com/region/hr/vukovar-syrmia-county. Twsabin (talk) 20:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I see the equivalent article in en.wp is w:Syrmia, which supports your points. Any objections to changing the article's name? Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:06, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Done. Sorry for the delay. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:45, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Syrmia" page.
