If you're going to eat somewhere in Jaffa / Yafo, it would be a real shame if you missed Itzik Hagadol.

Do you think too that this banner would would better than the existing one? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 05:45, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Both are good from my side. The old one show some nitty-gritty buildings which is actually rather interesting for me, and the new one shows a nice clean fort. Since I assume you are familiar with the city then I would leave it to your judgement, unless you get other feedback. --Andrewssi2 (talk) 06:35, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
What would make my decision easier is if I saw the English-language caption on both of them, though I'm hardly familiar with Jaffa, either (other than a brief visit in 1977). Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:39, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Please look carefully at the image quality of the current banner. The new banner is much more superior in Image quality alone, and in addition, the new banner is also of the more iconic view of the Jaffa port (while even Israelis won't immediately recognize the location shown in the current banner). ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 06:10, 19 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
The current picture is fuzzier. But the placement of the image on the page is such that the English name, on the left side of the banner, doesn't override the buildings currently, whereas the proposed replacement is excellent for the Hebrew version, in which the name on the right side doesn't override the buildings. That's why I'd like to see what it would look like with an English caption. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:27, 19 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
You mean that "Jaffa" text floating over the banner doesn't look aesthetic enough in your opinion? I think it looks good enough to be used:

I am still not sure what you meant by "I'd like to see what it would look like with an English caption". Does the visual example I provided you above meet this request of yours? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 07:12, 19 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, and it looks fine, which would cause me to favor the new banner, especially based on your remarks about the images. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:13, 19 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Not visible on the page or an unusual-looking stadium, anyway. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:25, 8 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
