Why not just West Pomerania?

- Indeed. We should use the English name. Pashley (talk) 15:24, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Get out sections
editThe Get out section for at least a dozen villages in this region are massively long and almost copies of each other each referring to the next, whereas the articles themselves have almost no other information whatsoever. Hrmph. (WT-en) Texugo 01:23, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Name
editGuys, make up your mind, during last month this article was called: Zachodniopomorskie, West Pomerania, West Pomerania (Poland) and West Pomeranian Voivodeship now. I don't really care which name wins but all the other voivodeships have Polish names (since October) and this should be consistent. Jjtk (talk) 07:58, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- As far as consistence is concerned "Zachodniopomorskie" would be the right name. Does the scheme to name sub-regions according to the Polish nomenclature suit well English speaking tourist ? I dont know. Another layer of consistency that needs to be considered are names used by the English Wikipedia (mixed traditional English names and Polish names). I imagine that generally for an English-speaking tourist it's far more understandable name "Silesian" than "Śląskie" or "Slaskie" as a name for a sub-region. Probably using redirects is the way to go. Kpjas (talk) 20:03, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
