Proposal to rename

edit

The Valencian name for this town is Xàbia, and the Spanish version is Jávea. In the town itself the two languages are co-official, although Valencian is preferred. The Wikipedia article goes by Xàbia, Lonely Planet and the Rough Guide list it as Xàbia, and even my Spanish-language guidebook lists it with preference to Valencian as 'Xàbia/Jávea', as does my printed Michelin map. I'd like to rename the page to Xàbia – are there any objections? –StellarD (talk) 11:20, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'm OK to change on the basis of Wikipedia using the proposed name w:Xàbia --Andrewssi2 (talk) 11:33, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Whichever name is used, both should be mentioned in the lede. Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:56, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Xàbia" page.
