First person account of the lodge

edit

Here's some of the info about the Outback Lodge:

Within the lodge part of the resort there was: a pool, a pool table, gift shop, a bar ($12 per jug of VB), bottle shop open until 9pm (unsure of prices), a restaurant, a guest kitchen if you had bought your own food, and a 'cook your own' barbie where you can purchase a variety of meat or fish, cook it yourself, and then help yourself to the all you can eat salads, side dishes and sauces. Cost between $23 and $27 depending on what meat you had - very good value when you see what sides you get with it all - a meal fit for a king!

I'm not sure which part of this refers to the lodge itself, most seems to be about the area around the lodge. Here to be mined, anyway -- (WT-en) Hypatia 09:12, 4 Nov 2004 (EST)

National Jet Systems

edit

I've removed the reference to national jet systems, in the interest of the traveller, who books through qantas, checks in at qantas, sees a qantas flight crew, and boards a qantas painted plane. --(WT-en) Inas 19:10, 3 May 2009 (EDT)

Driving on left

edit

"Vehicles drive on the left, but there isn't much in the way of traffic in the area - people accustomed to driving on the right can probably manage it." I have removed this remark because (a) it was misleading - low traffic density can actually pose a greater risk than higher density for drivers used to driving on the "wrong" side, (b) what was true about the statement applies to all of the Australian outback (if not all of Australia) and is not specific to this area. --(WT-en) Yen Zotto 10:05, 5 November 2009 (EST)

Merge

edit

I think we should get rid of this and keep one Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park article. This just spreads the info on multiple articles, while Yulara is just a service town for that destination. It's not a destination on its own. (WT-en) Globe-trotter 21:17, 22 December 2009 (EST)

Yes, I know, another boring aerial image of the town but the French Wikivoyage uses this banner and it looks nicer IMO (disclaimer: I cropped the fr.voy banner). --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 06:27, 12 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
