This is from w:Zaporizhzhia:

Zaporizhzhya (Template:IPAc-en, Template:IPAc-en; Template:Lang-uk Template:IPA-uk), also known as Zaporozhye (Template:IPAc-en; Template:Lang-ru, Template:IPA-ru) and formerly as Alexandrovsk (Template:Lang-ru Template:IPA-ru) or Oleksandrivsk (Template:Lang-uk Template:IPA-uk), is a city in south-eastern Ukraine, situated on the banks of the Dnipro.

Got that? So, it's in Eastern Ukraine, but later in the Wikipedia article, the 2001 Census is cited, with Ukrainians making up 70.28% of the population. However, according to the same census, 56.8% of the population were native speakers of Russian in that year, as opposed to 41.6% being native speakers of Ukrainian (and no-one was a native speaker of both???).

I have no idea where that leaves us, and I don't trust the relevance of a 20-year-old census. Has there been a more recent one? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:58, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
