The Tasmanian Wilderness is a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering nearly a quarter of the state and one of the last expanses of temperate wilderness in the world. Generally, most UNESCO World Heritage Sites only fulfill either one to three of the criteria out of the ten to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
