Template talk:ISBN

How's this supposed to be used, now that it's been redirected to a Special page? --(WT-en) Ravikiran 12:02, 21 Jan 2006 (EST)
- It should not be used. Just enter the word "ISBN" followed by the number for an automatic link, no markup of any kind needed. Example: ISBN 4398201041. (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:35, 22 Jan 2006 (EST)

editWhile this isn't technically a new template, it was a redirect for a decade before new code was imported from Wikipedia. Was this discussed anywhere prior to making a change? Powers (talk) 00:00, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
- @LtPowers: No. Do you want it to have a different name? It has the same name on b:en:, c:, d:, wikt:en:, outreach:, n:en, q:en, s:en, s:mul:, v:en, and here. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 01:38, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
- No, it's just that new templates usually require discussion before deployment. Powers (talk) 03:44, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
