Tieling (铁岭; Tiělíng) is a city in the north of Liaoning Province of China, northeast of the provincial capital Shenyang.

editThe area has been settled at least since the Shang Dynasty (1700-1027 BCE) and there has been a town here at least since the first year of Kaiyuan of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (713). Under the Republic of China (1911-1949) Fengtian Province was changed to Liaoning Province, and Tieling territory belonged to Liaoning Province.
